Former Golden Mile Complex

Following a collective sale process, Golden Mile Complex has found a new owner. Edmund Tie, the sole marketing agent,confirmed a S$700 million sale to a consortium of prominent developers: Perennial Holdings, Sino Land, and Far East Organization.

Golden Mile Complex will now be redeveloped into a new mixed-use development named Aurea. 

Highlighting the historic nature of the deal, Ms. Swee Shou Fern, Head of Investment Advisory at Edmund Tie, emphasized that this transaction marks the first time in Singapore that a large, strata-titled development with conserved building status has undergone a successful collective sale. The 16-story building, constructed in 1973, was recognized for its historical and architectural significance and designated a conserved building in October 2021. 

The new owners outlined a two-pronged approach for Golden Mile Complex in a statement. First, they will conduct a sensitive restoration, prioritizing the preservation of the building’s signature features and tiered design. Secondly, they will construct a mixed-use redevelopment, incorporating office spaces, retail areas residential units.

The developers will also “weave the landmark’s vibrant past into its new chapter,” suggesting they will acknowledge the building’s history while transforming it for the future.
